Monk can be a lot of fun to play, even with just one talent! I tested many different Monk Rush Royale PvP deck variations, from about 5300 to 5800 trophies, with my level 10 Monk. Furthermore, some decks I tested multiple times. You can see my best results here, together with screenshots and how-to-play info. Remember that it’s not just about winning or losing, but also about how much total damage you did.
Without a doubt you will have fun playing these Monk Rush Royale PvP decks!

Decks with √√√ have screenshots and/or how-to-play information included.
To one side, I added the total amount of damage dealt during the battle. The M is for millions. The plus “+” sign means that I won the game, so it has potential to do more damage. I tested many more Monk Rush Royale deck variations, but these are the strongest in my opinion.

Monk Rush Royale, Talents
Blessing (level9, left side)
Monks appear on the battlefield with a Sphere of Power. Every Sphere of Power increases a Monk’s damage by 3%. When such a Monk is merged or absorbed, all of his spheres are transferred to a random Monk positioned in an intersection. If there aren’t any, they will go to any other Monk.
Equilibrium (level 9, right side) Note: This page’s decks were tested with this talent only.
Monks who aren’t in intersections will periodically receive a Sphere of Equilibrium. For each merge or increase in rank for units with this sphere, the damage dealt by all Monks will be increased by 3%. After merging or moving the Monk, or if a unit with the Sphere of Equilibrium is not merged for 10s, the sphere will disappear.
Tranquility (level 11, left side)
Activating a Power-up will remove negative effects from the Monks in intersections and give them shields for 10s.
Illumination (level 11, right side).
Activating a Power-up will increase the merge rank of the lowest ranked Monk.
Rebirth (level 13, left side)
During each Power-up, the first Monk merge will turn a random non-Monk unit into a Monk.
Novice (level 13, right side)
During each buff, the first Monk merge summons another Monk to the field. The summoned Monk’s merge rank ranges between 1 and 3.
Nirvana (level 15)
Power-up increases the Monks’ chance of critical damage by 5% and gives 50% AoE attack to the Monks in intersections.
Monk Equilibrium PvP Tips & Info
Monk general tips
- Firstly, try to fill a column with 3 Monks to keep you alive. Also, try to have your intersection Monk on a special tile if possible. It will take practice before you can do this consistently if you don’t run Portal Keeper.
- Then see which row has the most special tiles and try to fill it with Monks.
- Get your Equilibrium counter up with Dryad if you have it, and by merging Monks if you don’t. Do this only if you have already made your first intersection.
- Determine your worst row and make your big merges there. So, If you get something you don’t want, it will be out of the way.
- Try to keep at least one big intersection Monk active at all times during the early and mid-game.
- Try to have 4–10 Monk intersections for the late game. Certainly, the more and bigger, the better.
- A Monk in a corner avoids the Monkey King boss stun.
- You might want to immediately merge the Monk that gets hit by the Virus boss, if you don’t have a Portal Keeper. Otherwise, the virus is terrible for a board full of Monks.
- Only activate your Monks (power-up) during a tough wave when you think you will lose. Otherwise, you should save it for the boss(es).
- Also, remember to wear your best PvP equipment.
Other units and opponent tips
- Chemist weakens enemies so we can eliminate them faster.
- Executioner finishes off damaged enemies when they have low HP.
- Trapper temporarily weakens and also slows the enemies with his traps. He can keep you alive while the Virus wears off.
- Sharpshooter stuns your opponent’s units after he kills a mini or main boss.
- Sword buffs your units’ damage and also their critical chance. It can also debuff your enemy’s units. An awakened/active Sword (level 9+) will automatically apply its effect every 15 seconds (with the correct talent).
- You will probably need to merge all swords to make space, though.
- Harlequin can certainly help you obtain Swords much quicker.
- Save a lot of mana before making risky changes to your board.
- Also, bear in mind that without Keeper, it can be tough to set up your Monks.
- Rank 1 units are very weak, and can certainly be removed by negative effects. Rank 2 units are not much stronger, but will at least survive the Tribunal boss effect.
- Don’t mana rank up weak units (rank 1-2), because the lower their rank, the less effect it has.
- Another key point is that your opponent’s equipment can affect you. Therefore, you should click on your opponent’s hero to see their equipment.
- If your opponent has Witch, try to keep your Monks lowish in rank in case they get hit by the negative effect. They will be easier to merge.
A. PvP Monk Rush Royale Equilibrium Decks (RECOMMENDED)
How to play
These decks only run one key support unit (in CAPS) to weaken our enemies and/or buff our Monks.
We must make sure we rank up our intersection Monks asap and then focus on our support unit.
If we lack Scrapper, we should certainly fill the board with units to soak up any negative effects like Pudding, Dark Priest, Warlock, Assassin, Lion, Witch, Sword, Sharpshooter, Shaman, etc…
If you run Scrapper, always keep a rank 1 on the board during the late game.
A1. MONK – Keeper – Scrapper – Dryad – SWORD
A3. MONK – Keeper – Scrapper – Dryad – CHEMIST
A16. MONK – Keeper – Harlequin – Dryad – BOMBARDIER
B. PvP Monk Rush Royale Equilibrium Decks with Scrapper and Dryad
How to play
These decks are not easy to play because we lack Keeper to place our Monks where we want them, or to remove a negative effect.
We must balance having more units on the board to avoid negative effects, or fewer units so that Scrapper can hit what we want it to.
You can also try to make big Monks by merging other units.
First use Dryad to upgrade your units, then use Scrapper. While ranking up your Monks, you can keep your Scrappers on the board to receive negative effects, like Pudding, Dark Priest, Warlock, Assassin, Lion, Witch, Sword, Sharpshooter, Shaman, etc…
Also, you should make a rank 2 Scrapper with Dryad.
If we leave a Monk at rank 1, it could be problematic if for example the Lion mini boss hits it.
B4. MONK – Scrapper – Dryad – TRAPPER – CAULDRON
C. PvP Monk Rush Royale Equilibrium Decks with Portal Keeper and Dryad
How to play
Placing our Monks where we want them is certainly easier with Keeper.
You can also try to make big Monks by merging other units.
Without a doubt we should focus on upgrading our intersection Monks asap with Dryad. We lack Harlequin, so Dryads will not be as abundant.
Additionally, try to fill the board with units to soak up any negative effects like Pudding, Dark Priest, Warlock, Assassin, Lion, Witch, Sword, Sharpshooter, Shaman, etc…
Also, try to have a Keeper of equal rank to move/cleanse our biggest intersection Monk. Although at higher ranks, this is not that easy to do.
If we leave a Monk at rank 1, it could be problematic if for example the Lion mini boss hits it.
Rank your units up before you need to, not when you are losing on a tough wave.
D. PvP Monk Rush Royale Equilibrium Decks with Harlequin and Dryad
How to play
With these decks, we can rank up our intersection Monks early, since we have Dryad. Harlequin is generally used to copy Dryad.
These decks are not easy to play because we lack Keeper to place our Monks where we want them, or to remove a negative effect.
You can also try to make big Monks by merging other units.
Since we lack Scrapper, we can fill the board with random units to try to avoid any negative effects on our Inquisitor: Pudding, Dark Priest, Warlock, Assassin, Lion, Witch, Sword, Sharpshooter, Shaman, etc…
We should also focus on upgrading our Monks with Dryad asap. Try to keep a rank 1 Dryad on the board at all times, so we can copy it with Harlequin.
If we leave a Monk at rank 1, it could be problematic if for example the Lion mini boss hits it.
You can copy a Monk with Harlequin when in a tight spot.
Rank your units up before you need to, don’t wait until you are losing on a tough wave.
E. PvP Monk Rush Royale Equilibrium Decks with Scrapper and Cauldron
How to play
With these decks, it’s a bit slower to rank up our Monks, since we lack Dryad. Thus, it can also be tough to rank up your intersection Monks.
We should have plenty of mana in the early, mid and late game due to Cauldron.
These decks are not easy to play because we lack Keeper to place our Monks where we want them, or to remove a negative effect. Placing your Monks where you want them will also require practice.
You can also try to make a big Monk by merging other units.
We have to balance having more units on the board to avoid negative effects, or fewer units so that Scrapper can hit what we want it to.
You can leave a couple of Cauldrons on board to generate mana for a few seconds, before you scrap them. However, we usually don’t want Scrapper to hit Cauldron at the start of the game.
Although for the mid-game, we want one big Cauldron producing mana.
Additionally, keep your Scrappers on the board to receive negative effects, like Pudding, Dark Priest, Warlock, Assassin, Lion, Witch, Sword, Sharpshooter, Shaman, etc…
F. PvP Monk Rush Royale Equilibrium Decks with Dryad and Cauldron
How to play
With these decks, we can rank up our intersection Monks early, since we run Dryad.
We should have plenty of mana in the early, mid and late game due to Cauldron.
These decks are not easy to play since we lack Keeper to place our Monks where we want them, or to remove a negative effect. Placing your Monks where you want them will also require practice.
You should leave enough Cauldrons on board to maintain a steady flow of mana. Of course, if you have too much mana, or need space, you can merge some or all of them.
Rank your units up before you need to, don’t wait until you are losing on a tough wave. Also, don’t panic if you don’t summon what you need.
