ROGUE RUSH ROYALE PVP DECKS

Rogue can be a lot of fun to play, specially when at max level 15! I played dozens of Rogue Rush Royale PvP deck variations, from about 4900 to 5600 trophies, with my level 15 Rogue (I call it Shinobi). Most decks were tested multiple times. You can see my best results here, together with screenshots and how-to-play info. Remember that it’s not just about winning or losing, but also about how much total damage we did.

Have fun playing these Rogue Rush Royale PvP decks! You can also try them in Co-Op dungeons, of course.

Decks with √√√ have screenshots included below. You may click on an underlined heading to see the screenshots.

To one side, I added the total amount of damage dealt during the battle. The M is for millions. The plus “+” sign means that I won the game, so it has potential to do more damage. I tested many more Rogue Rush Royale deck variations, but these are the strongest in my opinion.

Rogue Rush Royale, Talents

I have highlighted in bold the talents (RLR) I used for the decks on this page.

Smoke Bomb (level9, left side)

Has a 50% chance of the Rogue using a smoke bomb. When merging or changing merge rank for 5 sec. neighboring Rogues are shrouded in smoke, protecting them from negative effects.

Vigor Bomb (level 9, right side)

Has a 50% chance of the Rogue using a vigor bomb. When merging or changing merge rank for 5 sec. neighboring Rogues are shrouded in smoke, increasing their attack speed by 30%.

Giant Spikes (level 11, left side)

Has a 50% chance of the Rogue using spikes. When merging or changing merge rank, throws them at the first target. The spikes inflict damage and slow monsters down. Bosses and mini bosses within the range of the spikes receive 50% more damage.

Slug Spikes (level 11, right side).

Has a 50% chance of the Rogue using spikes. When merging or changing merge rank, throws them at the first target. The spikes inflict damage and slow monsters down. All monsters, except bosses and mini bosses within the range of the spikes, receive 30% more damage.

Fan Strike (level 13, left side)

While in the smoke, the Rogue attacks the first 3 target(s).

Double Blow (level 13, right side)

While in the smoke, the Rogue attacks the target twice.

Shinobi (level 15)

Has a 15% chance of a Shinobi appearing in place of the Rogue, using both a bomb and spikes. His spread of extra damage does not start at 1, but at 10% of your critical damage score. In addition, every 20 seconds it covers itself and neighboring Rogues in smoke and throws spikes at monsters.

Rogue PvP Tips & Info

Rogue Rush Royale general tips

  • At the very beginning, a few normal rogues will keep you alive. Don’t merge everything, trying to make a Shinobi.
  • Try to have your Shinobis on a special tile if possible. It will take practice before you can do this consistently if you don’t run Portal Keeper.
  • The Shinobis should be connected horizontal and/or vertically so that they activate each other every 20 seconds. Normal Rogues next to a Shinobi will be activated too. Keep in mind that a Shinobi in the corner is harder to connect.
  • I recommend making big merges to the sides of the board. If you get something you don’t want, it will be out of the way.
  • Try to have several high rank, connected Shinobis for the late game. The more and bigger, the better.
  • A Shinobi in a corner avoids the Monkey King boss stun.
  • You might want to immediately merge the unit that gets hit by the Virus boss, if you don’t have a Portal Keeper. The Virus is terrible for a full board. A slowing unit such as Trapper or Bombardier can keep you alive until the Virus effect wears off. Also, you can leave gaps in your board to slow down the Virus spread.
  • You want your Shinobis to activate just before a boss, I usually use Dryad for this. If you have many connected Shinobis (for example, 6) you don’t need to use Dryad to activate them, but it’s always good to rank them up when needed. With practice, you will know when you need to activate/rank up with Dryad and when to save it for a tougher boss.
  • Remember to wear your best PvP equipment.

Other units and opponent tips

  • Bombardier stuns enemies.
  • Chemist weakens enemies so we can eliminate them faster.
  • Executioner finishes off damaged enemies when they have low HP.
  • Trapper temporarily weakens and slows the enemies with his traps. He can keep you alive while the Virus wears off.
  • Sharpshooter stuns your opponent’s units after he kills a mini or main boss.
  • Sword buffs your units’ damage and critical chance. It can also debuff your enemy’s units. An awakened/active Sword (level 9+) will automatically apply its effect every 15 seconds (with the correct talent).
  • Harlequin can help you obtain Shinobis much quicker. Also, it’s great for copying Sword, Dryad, etc…
  • Save a lot of mana before making risky changes to your board. For example, when you run Statue.
  • Bear in mind that without Keeper, it can be tough to set up your Rogues.
  • Rank 1 units are very weak, and can be easily removed by negative effects. Rank 2 units are not much stronger, but will at least survive the Tribunal boss effect.
  • Don’t mana rank up weak units (rank 1-2). The lower their rank, the less effect it has.
  • Remember that your opponent’s equipment can affect you. You can click on your opponent’s hero to see their equipment.
  • If your opponent has Witch, try to keep your Shinobis lowish in rank in case they get hit by the negative effect. They will be easier to merge.

A. PvP Rogue Rush Royale Decks

How to play

These Rogue Rush Royale decks only run one key support unit (in CAPS) to weaken our enemies and/or support our Rogues.

We want to rank up our connected Shinobis, but be wary of the Dark Priest boss and an opponent’s Witch effect. Portal Keeper can help with this.

If we lack Scrapper, we should fill the board with units to soak up any negative effects like Pudding, Dark Priest, Warlock, Assassin, Lion, Witch, Sword, Sharpshooter, Shaman, etc…

If you run Scrapper, always keep a rank 1 on the board during the late game.

A10. ROGUE – Keeper – Harlequin – Dryad – STATUE

PvP Deck Rogue Rush Royale Screen Gameplay Shinobi

B. PvP Rogue Rush Royale Decks with Scrapper and Dryad

How to play

These Rogue Rush Royale decks are not easy to play because we lack Portal Keeper to place our Shinobis where we want them, or to remove a negative effect.

We must balance having more units on the board to avoid negative effects, or fewer units so that Scrapper can hit what we want it to.

You can try to make big Shinobis by merging other units.

First use Dryad to upgrade your units, then use Scrapper. While ranking up your Shinobis, you can keep your Scrappers on the board to receive negative effects, like Pudding, Dark Priest, Warlock, Assassin, Lion, Witch, Sword, Sharpshooter, Shaman, etc…

Make a rank 2 Scrapper with Dryad.

If we leave a Shinobi at rank 1, it could be problematic if for example the Lion mini boss hits it.

C. PvP Rogue Rush Royale Decks with Portal Keeper and Dryad

How to play

With these Rogue Rush Royale Decks, placing our Rogues where we want them is much easier with Portal Keeper.

You can try to make big Shinobis by merging other units.

We want to rank up our connected Shinobis, but be wary of the Dark Priest boss and an opponent’s Witch effect. Portal Keeper can help with that.

We lack Harlequin, so Dryads will not be as abundant.

Try to fill the board with units to soak up any negative effects like Pudding, Dark Priest, Warlock, Assassin, Lion, Witch, Sword, Sharpshooter, Shaman, etc…

Try to have a Portal Keeper of equal rank to move/cleanse our biggest Shinobi. At higher ranks, this is not that easy to do.

If we leave a Shinobi at rank 1, it could be problematic if for example the Lion mini boss hits it.

D. PvP Rogue Rush Royale Decks with Harlequin and Dryad

How to play

With these Rogue Rush Royale decks, we can rank up our Shinobis early, since we have Dryad. Harlequin is usually used to copy a Rogue (hoping for a Shinobi) but also Dryads.

These decks are not easy to play because we lack Keeper to place our Rogues where we want them, or to remove a negative effect.

You can try to make big Shinobis by merging other units.

Since we lack Scrapper, we can fill the board with random units to try to avoid any negative effects on our Inquisitor: Pudding, Dark Priest, Warlock, Assassin, Lion, Witch, Sword, Sharpshooter, Shaman, etc…

During the early and mid-game, try to keep a rank 1 Dryad on the board at all times, so we can copy it with Harlequin.

If we leave a Shinobi at rank 1, it could be problematic if for example the Lion mini boss hits it.

E. PvP Rogue Rush Royale Decks with Dryad and Cauldron

How to play

With these Rogue Rush Royale decks, we can rank up our Shinobis early, since we have Dryad.

We should have plenty of mana in the early, mid and late game due to Cauldron.

These decks are not easy to play since we lack Keeper to place our Rogues where we want them, or to remove a negative effect. Placing your Rogues where you want them will require practice.

You should leave enough Cauldrons on board to maintain a steady flow of mana. If you have too much mana, or need the space, you can merge some or all of them. Avoid having big Cauldrons in the middle of the board, they are best in the corners.

Final Thoughts

Rogue Rush Royale is a ton of fun, however many times you will have bad luck and lose. You can try to make a more dependable or easier-to-play deck, but you might weaken it in the process.

While testing Rogue, I discovered to my surprise that I don’t need Harlequin to make it work. I also discovered that to make a high rank Rogue, it’s sometimes quicker to just merge big units than to try to summon/copy one and then rank it with Scrapper or even Dryad.

I thank the game designers for creating this card, sometimes I just wish it was legendary, so I could play it above 6000 trophies!
