Hello fellow survivors! Porta Ladonna starts with a support weapon, Lightning Ring. Early on, it is not the strongest of weapons, so we must be careful not to select other weak weapons early in the stage. This short Vampire Survivors Porta Build list will provide important information that will help you beat these and other stages.
With her +30% Area bonus, Porta specializes in dealing area of effect (AOE) damage, and we can keep this in mind when selecting weapons for her builds.
Porta is unlocked by getting Lightning Ring to level 4.
As I’ve recommended before, remember to buy as many good Power-Ups as you can before playing with Porta or any other character.

A. Vampire Survivors PORTA BUILD: CAPPELLA THUNDER
To be honest, I was just trying to complete the stage since I hadn’t played it much. For this reason, you will see that I ran a pretty standard build that got lucky with a Candybox at the end. By the way, the last mobs were very tough to kill!
I played this Vampire Survivors Porta Build in the Cappella Magna stage, in Hyper mode, and you can see my results in the images.
The following weapons are listed in the order that they were acquired:
1. Thunder Loop (Lightning Ring + Duplicator)
The default evolution for Porta. In any case, Duplicator buffs most of my other weapons in this build.
2. Unholy Vespers (King Bible + Spellbinder)
A great defensive as well as offensive evolution for this Vampire Survivors Porta Build.
3. Holy Wand (Magic Wand + Empty Tome)
This weapon helps a lot with the bosses. Also with everything else.
4. Bloody Tear (Whip + Hollow Heart)
Its “swoosh” attacks heal you when they crit!
5. Thousand Edge (Knife + Bracer)
One of the best boss defeating weapons in this Vampire Survivors Porta Build.
6. Pentagram
This weapon deletes everything on screen, even your drops, if you don’t level it up as soon as possible!
7. La Borra (Santa Water + Attractorb) bonus weapon from Candybox
Selecting Santa Water from Candybox was a no-brainer since we already had Attractorb.
Passive Items
I ended the run with 9 passive items after picking up Duplicator, Tiragisú and Metaglio Left from the Cappella stage floor.
B. Vampire Survivors PORTA BUILD: AOE SKETAMARI KILLER
I went into this stage with the idea of defeating the skeleton ball enemy Sketamari, and of course, completing the stage.
I played this Porta Build in The Bone Zone, in Hyper mode, and you may see my results in the images. It took some time to kill Sketamari (question mark on map), a special enemy that wanders around horizontally in the southern part of the stage. This because it became huge, but Thousand Edge was finally able to take it down.
I decided to pick up a few helpful stage items that were laying on the ground. As I have mentioned in other posts, this should be done AFTER we have filled our 6 passive item slots.
The following evolutions are listed in the order that they were acquired.
1. Thousand Edge (Knife + Bracer)
This weapon proved very useful for eliminating Sketamari, the skeleton ball monster. It also let me move around relatively easily while it cut a path for Porta.
2. La Borra (Santa Water + Attractorb)
This weapon shines in wide open stages such as The Bone Zone. In fact, its damage circles covered most if not all the screen thanks to Porta’s +30% Area passive bonus.
3. Holy Wand (Magic Wand + Empty Tome)
I am starting to like pairing this weapon with Knife for even easier boss killing!
4. Death Spiral (Axe + Candelabrador)
I ran Axe in this Vampire Survivors Porta Build because Candelabrador (+Area) works well with my other weapons too.
5. Tri-Bracelet (evolved Bracelet)
I wanted to test this weapon since I don’t use it much. It did approximately the same damage per second (DPS) as Death Spiral and Thunder Loop.
6. Thunder Loop (Lightning Ring + Duplicator)
Thunder Loop ended up with the second-best DPS during this stage. Also, Duplicator gave more projectiles to my other evolutions.
Passive Items
Since I took a long time to kill Sketamari, I only picked up the Silver Ring from the stage floor.
C. Vampire Survivors PORTA BUILD: BLOODY BRIDGE
This was my first time trying the Tiny Bridge stage, and I was pretty excited. I played this Porta Build in normal mode, and you may see my results in the images.
I was expecting it to be much tougher than the previous stages, but it went very smoothly. As soon as I saw that it was a horizontal stage, I knew I had to run Knife and Whip.
1. Thunder Loop (Lightning Ring + Duplicator)
Since we start with Lightning Ring, and Duplicator is pretty good for Knife and Whip, it was an easy decision to run Thunder Loop in this Vampire Survivors Porta build.
2. Thousand Edge (Knife + Bracer)
This is one of the main evolutions for this Porta build, due to its never-ending barrage of focused damage wherever we direct it.
3. Unholy Vespers (King Bible + Spellbinder)
I played it safe by running King Bible, but little did I know that it would deal the highest damage per second.
4. Vento Sacro
I wanted to create Fuwalafuwaloo (Bloody Tear + Vento Sacro), but ran out of time because the stage only lasted 20 minutes.
5. Bloody Tear (Whip + Hollow Heart)
This is the other main weapon evolution for this Vampire Survivors Porta Build. Without a doubt, its side attacks plus its healing effect are perfect for this and other horizontal stages.
6. Holy Wand (Magic Wand + Empty Tome)
Yet again I ran Holy Wand. I nearly always run Empty Tome, so it makes sense to add this boss killing evolution to this Porta build.
Passive Items
After picking up Attractorb and Wings off the ground of Tiny Bridge, I ended the run with 8 passive items. However, both items seemed out of place in this narrow stage.
Final Thoughts
Porta seems like a pretty average Vampire Survivors character because of her starting weapon, Lightning Ring. She does have a nice Area bonus, though.
While creating this content, I discovered what Stained Glass is. At the end of the Cappella run in this article, there was an icon in one of my screenshots that I hadn’t seen before. After some research, I read that it’s a stage weapon.
I attempted a Porta no–move run, even though Lightning Ring is not a good starting weapon for this. I was surprised when I survived the early waves and made it to the end game with a very nice build. Sadly, I died at around minute 25 to a tough boss that I don’t see often in my runs.
I appreciate you reading all the way to the end!
