DEMON HUNTER RUSH ROYALE

Demon Hunter Rush Royale

At the time of writing this article, Demon Hunter Rush Royale is the best deck out there! Correspondingly, the top Rush Royale players are using it to advance through the PvP ladder.

Not only was I lucky to receive several Demon Hunter cards over 2.5 years of playing, but also, I did not trade them in for magic crystals. Hence, I was able to make a level 14 Demon Hunter and play it for this page. After playing 410 games, I compiled a list of the best decks for PvP (in my opinion). We must remember that a Rush Royale deck’s performance depends not only on Card and Equipment levels, but also on the Enchantments in play, the opponent’s deck type (toxic?), Boss’ RNG, player skill, etc…

You can also try these decks in Co-Op dungeons, of course.

Decks with √√√ have screenshots included below. You may click on an underlined heading to go directly to that topic.

To one side, I added the total amount of damage dealt during the battle. An M is for millions and B is for billions of damage. Some decks do not rely solely on damage to win, for example those with Sharpshooter, Witch or Shaman.

The plus “+” sign means that I won the game, so it has potential to do more damage. I tested dozens of Demon Hunter Rush Royale deck variations, but these had the best results.

Final Thoughts

DEMON HUNTER Rush Royale, TALENTS

Attacks a number of initial targets equal to the merge rank. Receives a damage bonus for the total combined merge rank of the Demon Hunters on the field. Increases damage additionally for each specified number of merge ranks reached.

The Demon Hunter talents I used for many of these decks is LLL. I later switched to RLL for final testing, where we should have at least 6 Demon Hunters at all times.

I have highlighted in bold the Demon Hunter talents Cloak of Shadows and Stealth Attack that I used for the decks on this page.

Absorption of Evil (level9, left side)

Death of a boss or mini boss will mark a random Hunter of the lowest rank. Merging or absorbing every Hunter with a mark will distribute 3 marks between the Hunters with the highest rank. Damage per mark will increase by 5%, and after 90 marks, it will increase by 1%.

Twilight Hunting (level9, right side)

The Demon Hunter no longer gets a bonus for her demonic form. 6 Hunters on the field will become Twilight Hunters, increasing their attack speed by 20%. Once every 15s, all the regular Demon Hunters will lose their merge rank, marking Twilight Hunters. Damage per mark will increase by 3.5%, and after 60 marks, it will increase by 0.5%.

Cloak of Shadows (level 11, left side)

There’s a 25% chance of the Demon Hunter cleansing herself of negative effects when they are received.

Dark Pact (level 11, right side).

Once per wave, when destroying a boss, it will reduce the merge rank of the highest ranked non-Hunter unit, and will apply marks to 3 multiple times the number.

Stealth Attack (level 13, left side)

There’s a 7% chance of making an extra attack and inflicting an additional 100% damage to the first target for each merge rank.

Shadow Twin (level 13, right side)

When the first boss appears in a wave, 6 Demon Hunters of the highest merge rank unleash a Shadow, each of which copies the attack of its owner. There’s also a 10% chance for every Demon Hunter of the highest merge rank that the Shadow may be released when a mini boss appears. The Shadow exists for 12s, and its damage is equal to 20% of the damage of the Demon Hunter that released it.

Night Parasite (level 15)

The Night Parasite invades the heads of the Demon Hunter’s enemies, increasing the chance of critical damage to bosses and mini bosses by 5% for all Hunters.

Demon Hunter PvP Tips & Info

Demon Hunter Rush Royale general tips

  • Try to have all your Demon Hunters on special tiles. It will take practice before you can do this consistently if you don’t run Portal Keeper.
  • Try to have several high rank Demon Hunters for the late game. The more and bigger, the better.
  • First use Dryad to upgrade your units, then use Scrapper. If you have them in your deck, of course.
  • You can try to make big Demon Hunters/Statues/etc… by merging other units.
  • Most effects that hit your Demon Hunters have a chance to activate her cleansing talent (Cloak of Shadows). For example Swords, Dryad, Stuns, Shaman, Dark Priest, Pudding, Lion, Virus, etc…
  • It is okay to copy a Demon Hunter with Harlequin, she might cleanse herself immediately. If not, she can cleanse the broken sword debuff when another effect hits her, for example with Dryad.
  • When playing the first Left talent, don’t forget to make at least 40 Demon Hunters.
  • Remember to wear your best PvP equipment.

Other units tips

  • Time your Witch merges carefully, remember to mana rank her up beforehand.
  • Bombardier stuns enemies.
  • Chemist weakens enemies so we can eliminate them faster.
  • Trapper temporarily weakens and slows the enemies with his traps. You want to have at least 2-3 before a boss or tough wave.
  • Sharpshooter stuns your opponent’s units after he kills a mini or main boss.
  • Sword buffs your units’ damage and critical chance. It can also debuff your enemy’s units. An awakened/active Sword (level 9+) will automatically apply its effect every 15 seconds (with the correct talent).
  • When running Swords, your units should receive the maximum buff effect with 10 stacks. You may want to merge your Swords out when you achieve this.
  • Harlequin is great for copying Swords, Dryad, etc…
  • If you run Scrapper, always keep a rank 1 on the board during the late game. I like to have a rank 2 as well.
  • You should leave enough Cauldrons on board to maintain a steady flow of mana (if you run it). If you have too much mana, or need the space, you can merge some or all of them. Avoid having big Cauldrons on special tiles if you can.

Opponent and other tips

  • Early on, if your opponent has Witch, try to keep your Demon Hunters lowish in rank in case they get hit by the negative effect. They will be easier to merge. Later they will have fewer Witches to merge.
  • Wait a few waves for your opponent to send a lot of Swords/Witches/Shaman/etc… before making your final setup and units. They should run out of gas fast, unless they run Summoner or something like that.
  • Be wary of the Dark Priest boss and an opponent’s Witch effect. The Mermaid hero and the Cloak of Shadows talent can help with this.
  • Rank 1 units are very weak, and can be easily removed by negative effects. Rank 2 units are not much stronger, but will at least survive the Tribunal boss effect.
  • Remember that your opponent’s equipment can affect you. You can click on your opponent’s hero to see their equipment.
  • Don’t mana rank up weak units (rank 1-2). The lower their rank, the less effect it has.
  • I recommend using the Mermaid hero, she protects you against Dark Priest and other bosses. She also buffs your units and provides mana.

PvP Demon Hunter Rush Royale Decks

1. DEMON HUNTER – Harlequin – Dryad – Sword – Mime 2.5B+ √√√

How I play this Demon Hunter Rush Royale deck (LLL talents):

I try to get a few high rank 5+ Demon Hunters on my special tiles and also get to 20 x Demon Hunters asap.

If my opponent has good red Sword protection, I don’t keep the awakened red Swords. I do keep the blue awakened Swords, however. Mime can merge into a Sword or a Demon Hunter.

Next, I go for 40 x Demon Hunters and as many DH stacks as possible. The goal is to get to over 40 Demon Hunters with max Sword buff and a high DH stack count.

When the Sword buff is maxed, I can merge my awakened Swords. Also, I can get even higher Demon Hunter stacks by summoning them and merging them with Mime.

Final Thoughts

Demon Hunter Rush Royale is presently the strongest legendary card out there, and as such is a lot of fun to play!

It was very refreshing for me to beat decks that I would normally lose to with my maxed Blade Dancer. Hence, I found myself actually enjoying PvP again.

My level 14 Demon Hunter is now my main deck and I recently achieved Contender status (7000 trophies) for the very first time! Not to mention opening the 6920 trophy chest and receiving its legendary card for the first time too.

I found that my Mermaid level 2 was actually more useful than my Gadget level 10. Dark Priest was destroying me!

Today is Sunday, and the new Faction Week is Magic Council with Critical Blessing. There are also still 3 days left in the PvP season, so who knows how high I will climb!
