Rush Royale Engineer Deck List

If you love playing Engineer like I do, you will appreciate this Rush Royale Engineer deck list for Coop Dungeons (and PvP)! Many of these decks have been tested by myself on Floor 12+. I have included some screenshots and how-to-play information, so you may try them yourself. Your Engineer might not be the highest level, but you can still achieve good results in Coop Dungeons (and PvP) with lower levels, depending on your trophy level.

Last update: October 2023. Bombardier no longer lets you stop bosses from using their abilities. Also, awakened Swords no longer buff automatically, they need to be merged now. Hence, use these cards with caution.

Notes: Decks with √√√ have screenshots included below. These, and several other decks also have how-to-play information.

Rush Royale Engineer Deck Tips & Info

Engineer general tips

  • I recommend using talents R-R-L.
  • Early on, connect Engineers asap in order to start doing more damage.
  • We want to connect/link at least 10 Engineers.
  • Rank 1 units are very weak, and generally rank 2 are not much better.
  • Try to have your big units on the right side of your board, due to the Pudding boss.
  • The Engineers in the middle line connect the others, so keep them at the very least at rank 2+
  • The Engineers on any special tiles do more damage, so also keep them at the very least at rank 2+
  • Watch out for any curse tiles you might get before wave 20. You might want to keep your units lowish in rank just in case.
  • If you get a curse tile, know your teammate, and are carrying the game, send it to them.
  • However, If you get a curse tile with a random teammate, just endure/keep it if possible. Even if they send you theirs. A curse war might hurt you more than them.
  • When you have Shaman support, set up and let your teammate merge Shamans and support you.
  • If you don’t have Shaman support, always keep a rank 1 and rank 2 Scrapper on your board. Then upgrade your units with Scrapper (and Dryad if available).
  • Also, remember to put on your best coop equipment.

Other units and teammate tips

  • Bombardier stuns the enemies and avoids several of the bosses’ abilities.
  • Chemist weakens enemies so we can eliminate them faster.
  • Executioner finishes off damaged enemies when they have low HP.
  • Reaper has a chance to eliminate/reap smaller monsters (not bosses).
  • Trapper temporarily weakens and slows the enemies with his traps.
  • Sword buffs your units’ damage and also its critical chance.
  • Statues increase attack speed and also critical chance for neighboring Engineers.
  • If you have him, use Portal Keeper to easily connect your Engineers.
  • Use your Portal Keepers to counter/remove the effects of the Lion mini boss, Pudding boss, Virus boss, Dark Priest boss, etc…
  • Clock support speeds up your attacks.
  • Witch support buffs your units’ damage.
  • Demonologist support sends you mana early that helps you set up your board faster.
  • Your teammate’s equipment can certainly help you a lot.

A. Rush Royale Engineer Deck options with Harlequin and Dryad

These decks require Shaman support to play smoothly and achieve the big units ranks we need.

They can be challenging to set up due to the lack of a Portal Keeper or Scrapper.

We want to avoid the Harlequin debuff as much as possible, so we should only copy an Engineer when we have to.

Early on, use Dryad to upgrade your Engineers in the middle and also on any special tiles. Also upgrade your support units.

When your board is set up, request help and let your teammate support you with Shaman.

A1. ENGINEER – Harlequin – Dryad – BOMBARDIER – Chemist

How to play

Aim for 1 Chemist and 1 Bombardier, in a corner if possible; but not in the middle. Upgrade your Bombardier and also your Chemist with Dryad.

Aim for 1 Chemist and 2 awakened self-buffing Swords; in a corner if possible, not in the middle. The Swords however, are no that easy to make. Try to set up several Engineers before merging any Swords.

It’s okay to have 2 Chemists and/or 3 Swords in the late game. It might even be better in case one of them gets stunned, covered or removed.

C. Engineer Decks with Harlequin and Keeper

I tested a few of these decks on floor 12, and in conclusion, these decks need Shaman support (or a good damage teammate) to complete the floor.

Without Scrapper or Dryad, it is easy to get stuck with no available merges once your units start getting higher ranked (4+). Thus, your mana will pile up with no way to spend it.

Early on, use Dryad to upgrade your Engineers in the middle and also on any special tiles. Also upgrade your support units.

Shaman support is recommended for these decks.

Without Shaman support: Use Scrapper to upgrade your units.

With Shaman support: When your board is set up, request help and let your teammate support you with Shaman.

F. Rush Royale Engineer Decks with Keeper and Dryad

I tested several of these decks on floor 12, and came to the conclusion that these decks need Shaman support (or a good damage teammate) to complete the floor. Only the completed floors are shown here.

G. Rush Royale Engineer Deck options with Harlequin

Shaman support is strongly recommended to achieve the big units we need.

These decks can be very challenging to set up due to the lack of Portal Keeper, Scrapper or Dryad.

We want to avoid the Harlequin debuff as much as possible, so we should only copy an Engineer when we have to. For example, to connect two islands of Engineers.

When your board is set up, request help and let your teammate support you with Shaman.

G1. ENGINEER – Harlequin – Bombardier – Chemist – Executioner

How to play

Aim for 1 Bombardier, 1 Chemist and 1 Executioner, in a corner if possible; not in the middle.

Thanks to Dr Girlfriend, my clanmate, for supporting!

G2. ENGINEER – Harlequin – Bombardier – Chemist – Statue

How to play

Aim for 1 Bombardier and 1 Chemist, in a corner if possible; not in the middle.

Try to make 2 Statues that are separate and not in a corner. Their effect does not stack.

It’s okay to have 2 Bombardiers or 2 Chemists for the late game. It might even be better in case one of them gets stunned, covered or removed.

In the example above, I was only able to connect 8 Engineers, instead of the recommended 10. The board got crowded with all the support units.

Shoutout to DSYR316, my clanmate, for supporting!
